Lieutenant Allen "Noochie" Credeur - Rayne Police Department - Louisiana

On May 5, 2025, at approximately 1:27 a.m., Lieutenant Allen "Noochie" Credeur, of the Rayne Police Department (Louisiana)  was attempting to locate a suspect wanted for attempted murder in a stabbing incident. 

While attempting to locate this suspect and serving a search warrant, Lt Credeur was shot by a fellow police officer.  Despite living saving measures, Lt. Credeur succumbed to his wounds at the scene.  

Lieutenant Credeur had served with the Rayne Police Department for over 20 years. He is survived by his brother and fiancée.

As part of our "Plaques for Heroes" campaign, engraved slate memorial plaques were sent to the Rayne Police Department and to Credeur's family at no cost to honor his service and his sacrifice to the community of Rayne, Louisiana.  Our condolences to his family, his department and the community he served.
